FAQ

Disability and Insurance Claims

What should I do if my long-term disability claim is denied

ANSWER

Review the insurer’s decision carefully and keep copies of the denial letter, insurance policy, medical records and correspondence relating to the claim.

A denial does not necessarily mean that no further options are available. Depending on the circumstances, you may be able to challenge the decision or pursue a legal claim against the insurer.
